Entering into the Presence of the LORD By Rev. Lynda Rushing
The best and fastest way to enter the Presence of the LORD is to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. We enter His gates through praise, but worshippers are whom He is seeking. How do we do this? #1. Worship in Spirit: Eph.5: 17- 20. Spiritual songs are songs for which the Holy Spirit gives you the utterance ( Acts 2: 4 ). Jesus told us in Luke 11: 9, 10 + 13 to ask, seek and knock, and the door of the Spirit would be opened to us. Rev. 19: 10 tells us to worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy. Worshipping in tongues is the gateway to all the Gifts of the Spirit. What is it then? I will worship God in the Spirit and I will worship Him with my understanding (I Cor. 14: 15 ). We are to do both, but singing in the Spirit brings an open heaven. It’s a shortcut to glory! It bypasses your natural, limited mind and allows the Holy Spirit to flow unhindered to your spirit. Deep calls unto Deep, at the sound of His waterfalls. You get a download of His beauty and creativity, as you yield to how He wants to be adored. It is perfect praise ( I Cor. 14: 16 + 17 Amp. + Rom. 8: 26 + 27 ). As you yield your tongue to His words of power, chains are broken and revelation flows. You magnify Him well and nobly. You get a greater perspective of His grandeur and His glory! You hear from heaven and you sing it forth, uniting with the angels’ song ( I Cor. 13: 1 ). As you sing with your spirit by the Holy Spirit within you, you can ask for the interpretation ( I Cor. 14: 13 ), and then you can sing by the Spirit of prophecy back to yourself what God is saying. This is immensely valuable! We need to hear from heaven! We must have God's direction, His encouragement, His love poured out afresh and anew. This is the spout where the Glory pours out! Don’t limit God and do not quench the Spirit! Let the living waters flow and get a refill of His grace and wisdom! Open the door of your heart and He’ll open the windows of heaven! Anticipate the gifts to start operating as you do this! Expect the new song. Go with the flow of the Holy Ghost. He always confirms His Word with signs following. What you are speaking are the words, the utterance given by the Holy Ghost. Open your mouths and He will fill them! - With His words of inspiration, consolation and comfort. You can do this throughout the day. Utilize every spare moment worshipping God in other tongues! It brings the Presence of the LORD immediately upon the scene! It brings His liberty, refreshing, peace and rest! It transforms you from glory to glory! ( II Cor. 3: 17 + 18, Is. 28: 11 + 12, Rom. 8: 6 ) Practice the Presence of God at every opportunity. It will help you to be continually refilled and God-inside-minded. It strengthens you in your inner man and opens your ears to hear what the Spirit is speaking to the Church in this hour. How important is that? It is vital! It is the key to the Spirit- filled, overcoming, victorious life Jesus came to give us. # 2. Worship in Truth: When you sing in the Spirit and then ask God for the interpretation, the second part is worshipping Him in truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, Who will lead you into all the truth! He is the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, Who is always desiring to communicate to you His desires, His perfect will. Ask and you shall receive, that your joy might be full! In His Presence there is joy forevermore! He is the Oil of Joy! He is the River Which makes glad, pouring forth from the Throneroom. He is the Latter Rain, Who pours out showers of blessings! He is Joy unspeakable and full of Glory! He is the Dove of Peace, Who speaks peace to you and into your situation. He is the Anointing that breaks every yoke! He is the Honey bucket that soaks and saturates you with His sweetness! He causes your face to shine! He reinvigorates and restores you. Your cup overflows, when you’re anointed with fresh oil. You bring up your bucket by praying and singing in the Spirit, and then His Truth revealed to your spirit and mind sets you free from all bondage! ( Is. 12:3, Prov. 20: 5, Nahum 3: 14 ). Draw the water! You will need it for the siege! He gives His strategy, His battle commands, His mighty power, His miraculous might to those who do this daily! You don’t need to wait for Sunday morning service to enter in! You can experience this ALL the day long, every day. In fact- that is His will! Always speaking and listening in the Spirit. You are carriers of Almighty God and He is always with you! His Presence is within you, but you must release the rivers to experience the flow of His Presence continually! Prov. 4: 23, “ Keep your heart with all vigilance, for out of it flows the springs of life.” Prov. 5: 15 + 18, “ Drink waters out of your own cistern of pure relationship and fresh running waters out of your own well. Let your fountain of human life be blessed with the rewards and rejoice!” John 10: 10, “ I AM come to give you life and life more abundantly. ”This is the key to more! Prov. 8: 1-8 reveals that all Wisdom’s words are right and there is nothing contrary to truth in them. At the gates and doors, the Spirit cries out to you. Verse 9 says that they are all plain and right to him who opens his heart. Prov. 9: 5, “Come eat My bread and drink of the spiritual wine which I have mixed. ”Prov. 11: 25,“ The generous soul shall be enriched (generous in giving thanks well to God) and he who waters will himself be watered.” Prov. 16: 15, “In the light of the King’s countenance is life and His favor is like a cloud bringing the spring rain.” Prov. 18:4, “The words of a wise man’s mouth are as deep waters, plenteous and difficult to fathom; and the fountain of skillful, Godly wisdom is as a gushing stream-sparkling, fresh and life- giving.” Prov. 21: 20, “There is oil and precious treasure in the dwelling of the wise. ”We are the temple of the Holy Spirit and are to glorify God in our bodies and our spirits, which are God’s. If we come His prescribed way to offer acceptable sacrifices of praise as He directs, He will reward us! If we worship in Spirit and in truth, we will hear His voice and get the guidance we so desperately need for this hour- PLUS the necessary strength, refreshing, revelation and revival that only the Spirit can bring ( Ezek. 37: 1- 14). Come, Holy Spirit- breathe on these slain that they may live! Come, rains of righteousness, so salvation may spring up! Come, Mighty Wind and tongues of fire, ignite the miraculous! Give us utterance and understanding! Give us empowerment and enduement from on High! Take us higher and deeper into the supernatural spirit sphere! We are desperate for You! Change and transform us into the Different One! Show us the strange and unusual! We will not quench nor resist You! Help us, O great Helper to achieve our destinies! The Greater One is within us to do the Greater works! You have saved the best wine until last! Let us arise to accomplish all You will, as we pray and praise in the Spirit, and worship You in Spirit and in Truth! For we know that if anyone be a worshipper of God, him God heareth! Lord, give us more! We are hungry and thirsty for more of You! Fill us anew with Your living water, your new wine and oil! Come, Holy Spirit, we welcome You. May we always be God-inside-minded! Pour out Your Shekinah Glory and envelop us in Your FOG! Bend us, O Lord, so we choose God’s fast- not speaking our own words- but the words the Spirit gives! Choosing your ways and not leaning to our own understanding! Give us the peace that passes understanding and joy that’s unspeakable in our natural language. The language of heaven is always available for those filled, led and controlled by You! Thanks be to God for His unspeakable Gift, the Promise of the Father which we now see and hear poured out!
